DARRAN Furniture Awarded Best of NeoCon Competition and NeoCon Gold

We are excited to announce that DARRAN Furniture won the prestigious award for Best of Competition and NeoCon Gold in the Furniture Systems + Enhancements Category for BEst of NeoCon. It is such a wonderful moment, especially for those who have worked so increidbly hard to get the Honey collection where it is today! Designers Christopher Wright and Mark Müller designed such an innovative and thoughtful collection!

Following the announcement, the showroom was all a buzz with designers, dealers, and end users circling the showroom that displayed multiple configurations of the biophilic panel system. Mobile, height adjustable, fixed height, storage, lounge .. Honey can help you feel at home no matter how you work.

Meet Cora by SitOnIt Seating

With expert insight from Certified Healthcare Interior Designers (CHID), Cora was designed to withstand the high demands of our modern spaces. It’s a research-driven solution engeinered for cleanability, reliability and durability – while ensuring central comfort and cohesion across every model!

Cora is a high performance solution for multiple environments, including healthcare, education, corporate and more! The curated collection not only meets the needs of these environments, but also fits an array of users. An array of weight capacity warranties fit within the Cora collection – guest model (500lbs), midsize model (600lbs) and bariatric model (750lbs). Cora also blends well with multiple SitOnIt Seating collections, including Pasea and Rio, above, and the Tensor table shown in the last photo, below.

The wall saver frame keeps things fresh, preventing scuffs and marks on walls and keeping upholstery clean. Looped arms are streamlined yet wide enough to sit down and get up with ease. This easy to maintain chair also features a clean-out space and field-replaceable components, including the seat and back.

Artopex + LaserTec Technology

Artopex is proud to announce the introduction of LaserTec technology. This innovative technology merges the edgebanding with the surface to leave no visible seams. Not only does this new process enhance the aesthetics of the design, it eliminates the risk of liquid infiltration and increases durability.

This is the last phase of the Artopex factory transformation that began in 2016. The project to robotize and automate production lines has modernized and improvedn upon the company’s manufacturing capabilities and flexibility.

Additionally, laser edge banding is better for the environment and reflects Artopex’s commitment to the sustainability. One of the main chemicals used by Artopex is solvent. For many years, production units have had the goal of optimizing solvent use in order to reduce their consumption. Since 2010, an important decrease in use was observed despite an increase in production. This improvement is due in part to the integration of new equipment and awareness measures.

With the integration of laser edge banding, solvent use will continue to decrease. It will notably eliminate the use of glue when installing edge banding and therefore the use of solvent.

LazerTech technology utilizes an ABS edge banding attached via laser. Not only does this reduce the amount of solvent used by Artopex, but it also reduces polyvinyl chloride (PVC) consumption. PVC has been the subject of many debaites in the community, notably due to its impact on health and the environment.

DARRAN Launches Honey

We see that work environments with natural elements lead to a higher level of well being and productivity, which is an important consideration for business in terms of responsibility to its employees and its own bottom line. By embracing biophilic design, Honey workspace furniture addresses the needs of individual users, their varied work styles, privacy and of course, well-being.

The space-efficient 120 degree planning grid creates a flowing geometry that meanders through a room with endless possibilities for configuring the workspace. Honey panels are soft and rounded with compound curved surfaces. The panel height of 55″ gives the right amount of visual and sound privacy without overwhelming the space.

Honey offers open and closed collaborative zones, meeting spaces, lounge, or desking in sitting, standing, or height adjustable, adapting to the way you work. In addition to work space, Honey has a collection of storage and lounge products that compliment the soft lines of the workspace furniture. Thoughtfully designed, this collection integrates an open base with height adjustable bases integrated into the panel promoting a light feeling and tidy lines.

Artopex Launches Home Office Collection

Artopex has launched a curated collection of work from home solutions featuring commercial grade reliability with a softened home office appeal. Designed in collaboration with Jean Barbeau, Director of Research and Development at Artopex, the collection, featuring Arlow, Wilow and Millie, are astheticaly pleasing and ultra functional whether you want to keep things simple, have a sit-stand solution or need room for two! Add to your home office with storage solutions ranging from pigeon holes to pedestals – the new open pedestal or a mini box-file pedestal – to keep things organized. Optional screen risers allow for sit/stand options on fixed desks or a simple ergonomic addition to elevate your monitor.

Arlow

This reversible desk with minimalis lines seamlessly combines ergonomics, style and practicality. Its base with shelves allows for storage or a touch of home accents. Desk dimensions are 24″ deep and extend in width to 48″ or 54″. Arlow also allows for a return to either divide two desk together or maximize workspace.

Millie

This height adjustable desk with casters will allow you to vary your postion throughout the day. Thanks to the integrated penumatic adjustment system, the surface can reach a height of 43.5″! Sitting or standing, your workspace ergonomics will be optimized to their full potential with Millie. Desk dimensions are 24″ wide x 36″ or 42″ in length. Store your PC on the base for ease of mobility throughout your home.

Wilow

This table with tapered metal legs will fit as well in a room dedicated to working from home as in a livingroom or bedroom. Add a metal compact pedestal on casters with the Noki electronic lock to secure storage or combine it with a return to increase the work surface. Desk dimensions are 24″ deep and with lengths of 48″ or 54″. The legs feature leveling glides for stability in your home.

Table desks with solid wood legs are available in a range of fixed heights that gang together or overlaid on credenzas of varying elevations.
